For those who don’t want to go “big inch”, the S&S V80 engine provides a performance solution. With the same displacement and physical dimensions as a stock Harley-Davidson® Evolution® engine, the V80 fits in a stock frame just like a stock engine, but packs a bit more punch, thanks to the S&S Super E carburetor, S&S 508 camshaft, and high flow S&S cylinder heads. The V80 is built from the same superior materials as our larger performance engines, so engine life is excellent.
S&S V80 engines are available for carbureted applications only, in natural aluminum and black powder coat finish, with your choice of the S&S Super Stock™ single fire ignition, or no ignition at all. Two year warranty.
These engines are intended only for closed course competition use and are not legal for vehicles used on the street.

Detail attention needed
Had this engine installed March 2016 in My 89 FXR. It is a good running engine. the problem is that at 5K miles the tappet block base gaskets started seeping. Not bad . Just enough to look so. Ok wait till winter and pop the rocker covers and replace them. However now at 8K miles the cylinder base gaskets are starting to also seep oil. Now I'm looking at a complete top end job. This is my main transportation so It was broken in correctly and I don't run it hard.
