2025 Vintage Tour Builders

S&S Cycle has a long and proven history of racing, performance innovation, record-setting, and leadership within the powersports industry. But beyond trophies and technical achievements, S&S has consistently created defining moments that shaped the culture of the V-twin world.

Those moments began with the 145 Tour, celebrating S&S’s 45th anniversary by inviting builders to create custom motorcycles around the legendary 145ci V-Series engine. That spirit carried forward with the S&S Shovelhead Tour, a purposeful look back at one of the most iconic engines ever to power an American V-twin - where craftsmanship, heritage, and mechanical character took center stage.

Momentum accelerated with the S&S 124 Tour, where builders were no longer simply showcasing bikes—they were competing. The tour culminated in head-to-head drag racing, proving performance where it mattered most. The impact was so significant that AHRMA went on to create a dedicated racing class specifically for S&S Cycle 124ci engines.

The scale peaked with the S&S Cycle 50th Anniversary Celebration, which brought 50 of the world’s top custom builders to La Crosse, Wisconsin, for what became the largest build-off the V-twin industry had ever seen. Builders judged builders. No influencers. No algorithms. Just peer-to-peer respect and earned credibility.

Then, the tours went quiet.

As the industry shifted toward a more isolated, social-media-driven landscape, collaboration faded and shared experiences became rare. Innovation didn’t stop, but the sense of community that once defined the V-twin world began to thin.

Recognizing that shift, S&S chose to lead again.

In 2025, S&S Cycle re-ignited that spirit with the S&S Vintage Tour - a completed, nationwide event that brought builders, riders, and enthusiasts back together around the machines and stories that built the foundation of the V-twin movement. The Vintage Tour wasn’t a throwback for its own sake; it was a statement. A reminder that heritage and progress are not opposites and that leadership means creating moments that move the entire industry forward.

Moving forward, we are excited to bring you more of these incredible tours. In 2026, we bring you the Independance tour.  Hold on to your hats, it's going to be a good one.
