Scavenger pump up grade

Just a note that I just recently received a new oil pump and scavenger pump upgrade from Carl in Sweden. I haven't actually run the engine yet but I'm quite pleased with the quality of the workmanship in both these components. He has just finished developing the scavenger pump upgrade which consists of two larger gears and a quarter inch spacer so there's room in the body for the new gears. I am hoping that with the new and improved oil pressure and the new and improved scavenger pump to remove the excess oil that I will have a better lubricated, cooler running and happier big twin flathead.
I am having a ball rebuilding my old Flathead at this time because never in the 28 years has are being so many upgrade components available.

Have fun out there ! Greg

FYI -- Here's a link to what is, I believe, the oil pump in question. Looks like the price has come down significantly, if I remember correctly.

The supply pump is the same as I have. Price has come down since I got mine.

Can you post some pics of the upgraded scavenger pump? I would be very interested in what they look like.

Re: Scavenger pump up grade

I would gladly send you some pictures but I'm not having any luck moving them into this post. If anybody has any idea on how to do this, that would be great.

Posting pics is all up to the size of the pic. They have to be relatively small size. Look at my last pics on knucklehead. if you right click on 1 of them you should get the size. After you get them to the right size you click on the upload attachment tab and the rest is self explanitory.

If you go to the link I posted above, and then click on PRODUCTS, you will get pretty good photos of the pump mechanicals.

The site only has pictures of the supply pump, not the return. I have one of the supply pumps. It works quite well. But I am interested in what they did for the return pump.

Some time has passed , but we have finely updated the website.
You can now find pics and info regarding the Scavenger Upgrade Kit http://www.calas-hp.se/e_prod2.php

Coming soon : a video about the modification of the oiline outlet nipple to take care of the oiline/frame conflict.

Best Regards

are these units also applicable to 45" flatheads?

Yes no problem ... the 10 degree outlet modification is probably not necessary on 45's

Re: Scavenger pump up grade

that's worth knowing. I have heard this before, but I'm not familiar with the FHBT engines.
