Linkert Carb Identification and advice

I've got a 37W with a stock motor that currently has a Mikuni on it. I want to go back to a Linkert and I need help identifying one that I have. I've got Victory's Linkert book but don't see this model listed.

The top is stamped M31. It has a power needle on the right.

On the side with the low speed needle is molded "1 1/4 Mod M" with the numbers 2-338 under it. The second three is stamped in, the others are part of the casting.

The stock W carb was 7/8". Would this carb be too big?

Common 1-1/4" carb, will work fine. 7/8" is venturi size (not throttle disc size) for low-perf 45 W & G models.

The throttle shaft is worn and the bushings need to be replaced. What's the best way to remove the old shaft bushings?
