CV carb starting point

I am looking for suggestions on a starting point for jetting in a Kehin CV on a BTFH. 74ci, relieved, aluminum heads, oversize valves, KNS medium reground intake cams, auto advance dual point ignition, 5 speed with belt drive primary, 23-48 rear (3.32 final drive ratio).

I installed an HD 40mm CV with accelerator pump on a stock UL. I used a 180 main, a 48 pilot, and a needle from a Sportster. The original needle could have been raised about 1/16" for the same effect.

OK WOODY TELL US ABOUT THAT AUTO ADVANCE DUAL POINT IGNITION.

To post pics you just have to re-size them to a fairly small size. Last ones I posted were about 50 KBs. You can only post 3 at a time.

It has about 20 degrees advance. It uses shovelhead advance weights on a mirror image rotor to allow for the opposite rotation in a flathead.

Flathead and OHV Big twin timers spin the same direction. What do you mean by opposite roration?

NOSE CONE SHOVELHEADS STUFF HAS OPPOSITE ROTATION.
WHERE DID YOU GET THOSE POINTS ? LOOKS LIKE THEY HAVE SCREW ADJUSTERS ?

There was an article/post on this back in 2005 and I printed it out. It had a lot of good info on this. The writer recommends 185 and 48 to start with. I tried to do a search to find it and post a link but it seems to be gone. He also says get a needle from a from an early sportster #27094-88, use emulsion tube 27101-88 and get every intermediate jet from 48 to 52 and mains from 185 to 205. I hope this helps, I thought it was really great info. The authors name was Jim and it was dated 8/21/2005. If your interested your search may be more fruitful then mine.

Also if you want I could fax it but the print is small and light.
