linkert leaking

i have installed a new bowl and everything in it including stainless steel needle valve , but the thing still leaks. it pours out the little hole when on side stand. is this just what you put up with to ride an indian or is there a fix besides going to cv carb.

Of course you can make the Linkert work. Cotten would be better to answer this but not setting the float to 5/16"- a float that doesn't and turning the float bowl the wrong way come to mind right away!

i am sure that turning it the right way is also key , but where should the nut on the bowl end be. i have the one that has to be offset.

Go to link ebay to see position of bowl also the fuel level has to be set different depending which float you use and slightly offset to clear where needle area at center of lower of carb comes down into bowl area.

thank you very much , i had mine all the way up against the side where it couldn't go any farther. i will see if this helps. i have the nitrofill float set st 1/4 and offset to the left 1/16 and all the way foward without rubbing the bowl
