Which front cylinder do I have?

I have what I think is a 80 inch SV front cylinder, but has only 7 head bolts. All my references only decsribe 9 headbolts.
Can any-one identify it. Bore approx 3.500inch

Somebody, somewhere may/might need that badly. !! How did you wind up with just one cylinder? oooops or is that a giant big old crack I see? Well, someone could probably use the head, and the valve/tappet covers.

Actually that is from the later TNT Motor that made its debut in 1934. They changed the angle of the intake port so the '34-'36 used a "Y" manifold instead of the earlier "T".

Nope. all the cylinders made from '34 up are "Y" manifold, and the new for '36 VLH cylinders follow that pattern along with all UL/ULH cylinders. Although '36 VLH '37 later cylinders do not interchange due to exhaust port location.

Okay...was a guy around here selling a 1936 VL, I only saw pictures, but he claimed it was a 9 bolt, but in the pictures, which were good, it had the "T" manifold. It also had VERY bad numbers on it, which he also photographed for me. ??!! I"m talking about as phoney as you can get. I'm not sure if he didn't know any better, or if he was hoping that I didn't know better. At any rate, after seeing the serial numbers I did not persue the deal and further. But he swore that the cylinders were 1936.
