I try to build civilian WL from parts. Nowdays the WL or WLA projects or basket projects are very expensive so i try to buy sometimes worse parts and refurbish them. It is also big pleasure to do it, to work with these 70 years old parts, I love it. One time I bought engine cases and now I have almost complete engine, it's still not finished but i'm sure it will run. I will fix the heads and insert bushings to cylinders beacuse I bought NOS pistons. Now I will work on Linkert M88 I bough on Ukraine, I also bought transmission case on e-bay. I'm looking for any frame, they are now so expensive, so I think I have to find any cutted, dented, twisted, destroyed and fix it. If you have any of them just mail to me. Also if you have any not necessary (but cheap) parts let me know. Maybe I will buy it.

Take a close look at my flatracker known as "The Cheater" as named by a old timer who raced WR's when they were new.
There is really no parts on this bike that are not modified some way, there has been a lot of work and development in this bike, some of the early photos of the bike were not as polished and painted.
The bike was built to go to the local track and race "vintage class" where you may race a brit bike or a tt500 could be anything, but the owner and rider of this bike wants to race flathead handshift, and for sure a period built WR will not hang with the bikes this bike runs with [we have tried that to].
So the period built bikes can race together or dinosaur class, but "The Cheater" is out on the left coast making sure all the racers and fans get a chance to see a old flattie handshifter in action.

Nice job on that exhaust,I know you must have put a lot of hours in that,looks like a factory job.Many hours on handmade,hand fitted parts.Keep going, and good luck .

the exhaust is actually quite simple, it is cut and welded from various OEM and repro bits and pieces, most of them basically stock or copied from stock. Personally, I think it looks a bit wierd but it fits together, is the right sort of length and doesn't foul anything....

I know I’m going to miss the way it looks in this photo, but there were just too many safety issues piling up that it was time for a re-do.

I’ll sure try to have it finished by April Pa, and if I do I’ll surely ride it down there. I’m hoping to get enough cash together from selling all the chrome parts off it to buy a new set of clutches.

Engine: # 6 cast iron heads, .40 bored, Sporty distributor, 12v Gen with electronic reg. Mukuni 34 carb. 45-xxx on bottom, side never stamped
Drivetrain: 20 tooth front spocket ( paugcho), panhead primary ( inner flattened in press for engine, bolt holes beveled), Shovelhead clutch with starter ring gear machined off, Revtech 4 speed Panhead style trans kick only, Paugcho trans to frame mount, 22 front sprocket and 54 tooth rear (custom ordered).
Frame: Paugcho single loop made for 45 engine to use 4 speed panhead trans. 30 degree rake, no stretch. DNA springer, 2005 Harley disc brakes, front and rear on 16 inch rims. 3.5 gas tanks and round oil tank. Built by my dad ( he also has a 1947 wl 45) painted by me.
