anyone got any tricks to stop my linkerts from seeping ? Tried new crush washers and 2 new crush washers but the bottom of my bowl nut has always got a little drip on it and there is always a "stain" running down my vin boss . been reluctant to torque them down past 2 grunts .
Re: leaky linkert
Flatheadrider!
I lathe-cut the gasket surface to assure a good seal.
Please inspect inside for erosion that may include a pinhole.
When erosion has enlarged the bowlstem hole,
I often cut oversize seals with a lip from PEEK.

Re: leaky linkert
thanks for the tip Cotten , bad news is , I don't have access to a lathe . I had replaced the first bowl with a new * aftermarket since the hole was eroded out but new one seeps as much as old one did . the other is ( I assume ) a new one on a rebuilt I purchased from abcgang on e-bay . I will keep the option open if I get access to a lathe though .
Re: leaky linkert
If you're careful, have a steady hand, and don't get carried away, you can sand it on a flat plate.

How you gonna keep it square to the top?

Re: leaky linkert
It starts out square, be careful not to change that relationship. I've never had a problem.
