looking to replace my acid battery. anybody know of a gel replacement for my 1969 xlh (electric start only)? i've looked several places and can only find gel type batteries for newer sporters, '72 and up, but they are not the correct size i need.

dementions on my current acid battery are: 6' 1/4 tall, 8' tall and 5' wide.

thx

That attitude won't get you any help volunteered. I actually considered spending what little spare time I have to look it up for you. Considered is now where it will stay.

So go there....stay there...and get the hell out of here. This forum has been around long before you needed any assistance. Most receive assistance asap. Some must await a spell, before a member with instant memory or knowledge, views the request, in order to provide the requested knowledge an individual may seek. The vasy majority of the membership here are helpful to all who ask assistance. Your case is a bit different though. You are just a plain asshole looking for freebees on demand and obviously have nothing to provide in the way of experience to return to the forum members as a whole. And since I will permit you to read this reply......I....on the on the other hand.....will remove you from here as well. we don't want or need your kind !!!!!!!!! BYE !

I was wondering why you've been scarce George. It has been pretty mild around here until this incident. I miss your valuable input.

I think the real problem was that k56 was looking for a battery far larger than what most of us on this forum are used to dealing with.

dementions on my current acid battery are: 6' 1/4 tall, 8' tall and 5' wide.

Seriously, 8 feet tall and 5 feet wide? And then there is the issue of his battery's "dementions" being 6 foot 1/4 tall and 8 foot tall. I wonder if he meant dementia - that might shed a little light...

Now if it was 6-1/4" tall and 5" wide, maybe someone could have come up with a cross reference. :D

Patience and a bit of common courtesy would have helped him out considerably. Attitude was his real issue.
