FLT converted to FLHS

Sorry to ask so many EVO questions on this board, but can't seem to get answers anywhere else. I have removed front fairing from my 1991 Tourglide and installed a FLHS narcelle. On Tourglide the ignition module bolts onto support for fairing (which has to be removed to use FLHS front end parts). My manual says on FLHS it fastens to left side of steering head on frame. How or where does it attach. My frame has no holes in it at side of steering head for ignition module screws, only two large holes were Tourglide fairing support bolted to frame. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!
Re: FLT converted to FLHS
A look in your local dealers parts book should be helpful.
Re: FLT converted to FLHS
I have a dealer's parts book for the 1991 model FLHS and it has no picture showing the mounting of the module. The book just says it is mounted on the left side of the frame steering head.
Re: FLT converted to FLHS
I have an '85 FLHTC that I converted to FLHS years ago. The left side of my frame just to the rear of the neck has two holes (5/16" I think) that the module bolts to.
Re: FLT converted to FLHS
Thanks Beachdog. Mine has the two holes which the old FLTC fairing mounted to the frame. The holes are not spaced as far apart as the holes in the module and the 5/16" holes are much larger than the two holes in the module. Is there a mounting plate that bolts to the frame with these two holes and then the module bolts to with smaller bolts. Any help appreciated, this is driving me nuts.
Re: FLT converted to FLHS
Buster,
You're right. There is a mounting bracket. It is HD part # 32451-83, Bracket, Ignition Module...84 to * - FLHT, FLHTC.
It has the two big holes verticle and the two small module mounting holes horizontal. This will solve your problem.
