Still need a tail light location

Still wondering if anybody can help me with a measurement from the bottom of the fender to the bottom of the tail light on a 41 knuckle.I stand corrected I thought it was a beehive but it is not.I believe its called a boattail style ,anyway its the original style for the year. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

that's simple :
on your rear fender ( bottom )
ya see the brackets :
see closer :
one of them has a HOLE in the mid-section :
this hole is here for the lower bolt of the "boat-tail" .

( beehive stops end 1939 and became boat-tail for 1940 and up )


the same story about positionning a fender-light on the front fender .
