Re: XWL "WARBOY" hits the road
the more I see of this bike the more I like it, I do appreciate that sort of attention to detail.

Re: XWL "WARBOY" hits the road
thanks Brit , but ya know :
it's overall an attention to my bucks
cops are watchin'you everywhere , in my country
and for 5 Km/h more than the speed-limit : you're done ( like a rat
)
i'll keep ya informed on "what it looks like" when this new speedoface will be in place .

have to admit that the only vehicles I know in France are those endless bus-rides at Paris CDG. I do like the timing cover, by way; where is it from?

Re: XWL "WARBOY" hits the road
Well
after a serious road-test ; it is clear that the facing i have made is not the good one .
i believed it was enough to convert a speedo in MILES into a speedo in Km:H ....i was wrong .
others components are changing the rules .
particulary my speedo-drive unit , on the front wheel .
this is an FXSTS item...
made for a 21" wheel
and i got a 18"
i have made the road-test with a modern car at my side .
and the result i have found is exactly the same as the facing of an EVO ( early , i believe ) speedo i had layin'around at the workshop .
normally : all the BT Evo speedos i know goes to 220 Km/H
and this one goes only to 180 Km/H
( what model ? what year ? i don't know ! )
anyway : i am on the good way now .
i have made an OTHER new facing :
( not a 45' replica : a new one specially designed for the WarBoy )

the end of the story soon ....

Re: XWL "WARBOY" hits the road
Are you going to teach us how to make speedo faces Fran-6 ?
Pa
Re: XWL "WARBOY" hits the road
that's simple :
if you know how to hold a pen
if you have one scanner
if you have AUTODESK sketchbook pro in your computer
if you got PHOTOSHOP
if you got one WACOM graphic tablet
and also if you got the good stickers-printer
it is just like the job is already done .

Re: XWL "WARBOY" hits the road
Ah....It is the hold the pen part which is the most difficult for those of us who are not artistic.
