Air cleaner question...

Regarding the 29030-56 air cleaner, I've been trying to find out what year the "frame" around the cleaning instructions disappeared... Anyone that knows?

My 58/59 air cleaner cover for DC Linkert hasn't got the frame and the stamping of the text is a lot sharper than yours...

Thanks, for the reply. Well, this isn't my air cleaner, just borrowed the pic... Are you certain that your air cleaner is a 58-59? In that case the frame would be a 56-57 feature only...

Hi Epinut, it came on my 59 CH, bought about 25 years ago. I sold it with a Tilly and an aftermarket round cleaner.

Me not daft, kept the DC and its air cleaner, the bike wasn't that original!!! Don't know what the owner did with it, but I later bought the frame back, a C9 code, from another guy, probably ended up chopped...

But can't vouch if it was the original DC and air cleaner.

Me think they probably cleaned the cover design on the 57 Sporty???
