Every set of bars I have seen for that type grip sleeve is double slotted, both reinforced center and not. I have two pair of the '49-'50 type right now and they are both that way. So are lightweight bars which were the first to use that throttle set-up. I also have a pair of Flanders bars made that way so even the aftermarket followed H-D's lead. As far as I know if you had a bar with a worn slot you just turned the sleeve and plunger upside down and you have a new surface.
