Oil in timer/circuit breaker

Just finished a COMPLETE rebuild of my 69' shovel. And, this is a new one on me, I have oil in the base of my timer/circuit breaker. Anyone have an idea on this. fogfrank

If I remember correctly, there should be a reverse spiral cut on the top of the distributor shaft that keeps oil from coming up into the top. Your problem could be caused by loose bushings, excessive shaft end play, or too much internal pressure in the engine. I'm sure there are other things also, but these are the ones I know about.
