1945 air cleaner question?

Hi, could someone please tell me what size air cleaner ( 6" or 7" ) would be correct for a 1945 EL?

7" painted black is correct.

A paint code is what you find on the firewall of a car. It tells you the color not how to blend it. You want a paint formula. The original old H-D paint formulas don't work with todays paint. You will have to buy paint from Pierce or Antique Cycle Supply. According to H-D records there were no civilian bikes in 1945 other than Police models.
