New repro cylinders UL?

I saw yesterday in ebay motors NEW 13 fin repro cylinders for UL/ULH.
I didn't find it again today.
The seller was located in USA.

My friend have seen those listings also couple of times lately.

Are those "real" and where they came from? buy now price was about 1000$.

1000 USD for the pair?
Last time I saw an aftermarket new UL FHP cylinder set the owner was asking 3500 for it (pair).
Well, but this was in 2007, before the global financial meltdown...
I for one would only buy UL cylinders from a good and well-known source.
Last week I saw a NOS UL cylinder pair, 11 finned 74", solding separately, on ebay. Both front and rear were sold for more than 1500.

Yes they were 1000$ / pair. And definetly not FHP-cylinders. And listed "new repro".

They had correct casting numbers and looked all new.

I found the ebay-page in my computer memory and the ad said.

My friend had also seen these before (different listing)

I dont need new cylinders right now. My UL is going strong with original ones,,but
I would buy one good quality/reputable set for future needs when they are available..again.

As bobul said, the ad doesn't mention where the parts come from.
I sent an e-mail asking the source, let's wait his answer.

As you seem to know what's going on with these cylinders, how about sharing!? Given the fact that S&S has been promising a similar product for several years now, it would be good to know where the alternate product is coming from, quality, etc.

They're made by the same company that makes the 45 cylinders. They're a nice piece and I've sold a couple sets for people to try. They said they are happy with them. I'm adding a U Model category to my site at the moment...not anywhere near finished, but the cylinders are listed. I'm going to be offering them as a direct ready to run bolt on in a month or so.

I'm also trying to get them to make WLDR cylinders.

Hi folks,
The e-bay seller cleared the mystery up. He replied my mail saying the cylinders came from India, the brand name is "Eversure".
Good to know Kurt is selling them! This is a good indication of quality. But my only concern about eastern made cylinders is their reputation of being too thin in the cast so they can't be safely bored to next sizes over stock bore
Too bad they are sold in pairs only, because I need a rear jug and I already have two front cylinders in good condition and both ready to go.

Just to put my 2 cents out there. I am selling the 74" & 80" 13 fin repo cylinders too, in different configurations. I have thoroughly gone through these castings & have found the following :
- the base flanges are 50-60thou thinner than the stock base flange (i.e. 0.450 VS 0.500)
- the intake & the exhaust bores have some core-shifting & need porting to flow anywhere near original
- the exhaust external airflow also needs the flashings cleaned up
- overall the external appearance is a little rougher than Harley, but for the price, we are lucky to have them.

Future testing :
1. We will be testing to see how well they shape up when using 1 original cylinder & one repo cylinder. If this test is good, we will be selling individual cylinders.
2. We will be doing K-model threads & intake adaptions to these cylinders to see how well they handle these performance enhancements. Will post results.

VERSION 1 :Bare cylinders as cast, valve guides & thread nipple installed - 74" or 80" $595 pr. plus shipping.

VERSION 2 :Same cylinders, with fitted pistons - 74" = $760 pr. plus shipping

VERSION 4 :Same cylinders, with fitted pistons, ROWE Black nitrate valves & valve job, ported & flowed - 74" = $1,200.00 pr. plus shipping.
VERSION 4 :Same cylinders, with fitted pistons, ROWE Black nitrate valves & valve job, ported & flowed - 80" = $1,250.00 pr. plus shipping.

Note versions 1 - 3 have no flashings or port cleaning work done, and are sold as cast & cast machined.
