Valve guide tolerance?

What is the proper interference fit between guides and the head? All I could find in the manual is "tight." Surely someone has figured out a more scientific method than that.

Cast iron guides in cast iron on any application about 1 / 1/2 to 2 thou interference fit.

Sounds about right, and they should be re-sized after insertion since some crushing is normal.
