jib has come a cropper....

ok...... consultant came back from surfing and said, .....bones only 3 mill out of line, ....lets get some more weight off...... then as there was only 12lbs left he said might as well take the lot off.......some x-rays later..... nextday[this morning]..
off came the halo..mine to keep[thinking headlamp bracket or sissy bar].....been up and walking..... home tomorrow if im lucky...more x-rays next week if ok then im ok...if not vertebra fusing time... not thinking about that...

Don't worry about fusing the vertebrae. I have two fused together from my past shunt, and apart from not being able to turn my head past about 45 deg ( so I can't look over my shoulder ) I never give it a thought. I gather it's a common injury among ex-front-row-forwards like me ( inside linemen, for our US cousins ) .... they crack under compression, the cartilage fails and the new growth fuses across the gap.

ben if i have mine fusd there aint no head movement side to sidethey will join c2 to the skull with c1 sandwhiched in between, its not happening. same as in 1991 when they wanted to take my spleen out cos it was lacerated, came off a cbr600 at about 60-70 . told them no way jose.and ive still got it ,thank the fates

haha haha, got out yesterday lunch time, mate came and picked me up and dropped me home to teignmouth,30 odd miles each way. went off had a couple of beers, went to bed and woke up this morning wondering how the bus that had run over me while i was sleeping hadnt damaged my flat at all. then my girlfriend climbed in through the window and got into bed, mmm felt much better aftera while and went back to sleep.
ive spent the rest of the day sunbatheing on the beach and feel a lot less stiff,all those rays breaking down the knots in my calves back and neck. so toptastick of to a party in a feild tonight ,there is a special area for damaged goods like me and barr, she fell over and broke her colllar bone a few days ago.

um confusing writings, the window woman is called daisy,and barr is nicks wife, incidently ,barr got pissed up at the party and then fell off a chair. i stayed up and watched the sun come up while laying in meadow grass/flowers,brilliant. jib

its my birthday today, yippayayhay, made another one , bit more battered than last time, but nothing stays perfect for ever . great site and some truly piss taking members,caring and always ready with an answer whether helpful , ridiculing, gunning or funning.
