Buddy/Chummee seat

I am thinking about putting a chummee (sp) seat on my 640. Was this ever done? much?

I know the scout isn't exactly a big cruiser, but my wife (110 lbs) may be a once/twice a year passenger...I am 200 lbs.
This isn't a long haul ride anyway...just seeking input from those more experienced in these matters.

40 SS was the only Scout ever offered with a Chummee seat I have only seen 2 ever. One popped up on the Virtual Indian forum a few months back as a photo asking what does this fit. I made a low ball offer since I hate to let anything 40 SS get away but he turned me down. No Idea if he still has it but here is his email Mark Smith deepwoods23@yahoo.ca Good luck.

Ok, so Springfield actually did it...was the scout chummee that different from the Chief?

My original post didn't actually say what I intended- that I was wondering if it was possible/reasonable.

They were shaped quite differently from a Chief seat They were commonly referred to the Alligator Head Scout Seat.

I understand that the rear bracketry was one year only also and made from unobtainum.
