Hi George, wish I could help you, but I never pulled mine. Did as thorough a job as I could flushing things out short of removal. Not by the book, maybe, but those screws sure act like they're in there to stay.

Herr Dr,

That's why I asked here about getting them out.

I think that I will be able to clean the passages out enough. But would like to remove them just to make sure that there's no crud that will eventually come loose and clog up such a tiny hole.

Does anyone have a set of tappets as pictured 2nd from the left with 3 holes for sale?
Can anyone identify the source as to OEM and what models or are they aftermarket?

If it were me I'd slide a solid slug inside the bore so the area is well supported.

Afraid of striking them, use an impact wrench instead of a driver.
