DC LINKERT PROBLEM

Am having a problem with my Linkert (DC-1) The plastic part of the float lever swells and binds on the metal tangs of the bracket. It happened last fall on the road home from Davenport, again early spring, and yesterday ! Each time I dress down the plastic ends until the float drops freely. I suspect it is the ethanol in the fuel that is degrading the plastic. I try to avoid the stuff, but I live in Illinois where corn is king. Does anyone know of aftermarket availability or another solution to this problem ?

I've looked at all my DCs, they all have a steel lever, no plastic parts there. Try to find one of these.

I have some spares. Email me if you want one.
