Any word out there on when Flathead Power BT flathead cylinders are going to become available?

Hi Guys,

Here is where we are with the BT Flatty cylinders: Working on the tooling tweaks for the ports and are shorting for a Davenport release date. They will have valves, guides and spring pack as part of the cylinders. They will be avalible with stock intake nipples or WR intake nipples and the WR manifold will be avalible at that time also. The springs will take you to (.650") vs. stock .420".

How many sets do you think they could sell?

If you're still doing the tooling, I strongly suggest that the deck height be shortened slightly. All factory engines are too loose regardless of gasket thickness, and most aftermarket pistons have smaller compression distances than the original.
This is a major contributor to knocking - excessive quench clearance.
Taking off roughly .030" will be safe in all cases IMHO, and be very helpful since tightening up this distance afterward is very complex and expensive.

Davenport (Iowa) is the largest AMCA meet of the year and is always the Thursday through Sunday leading up to Labor Day.

Since we're asking, how about connecting rods or pistons that work with 8" rods?

That is most excellent. Will these be UL only or VL as well?

Hell, I need both.
(Wouldn't it make most sense to start with 13 fin castings? Its easier to take them off than to put them on. And frankly, even the '74"s would benefit!)

Or WR cylinders, heads and tappet guides.

I have lots of parts available for the WR!

Tappet guides
Roller cams with 10 different KR profiles
High lift single valve springs with rates equivalent to the dual KR springs
Valve spring covers
Peek a Boo timing cover
This spring I will have WR heads with KR style combustion chambers
WR cylinders are on the drawing board
