Help with S&S pistons

I am putting this basketcase Panhead back together. It has S&S 1/2" stroker wheels and S&S/TRW pistons. The pistons have no marking inside them to tell me which way is to be installed towards the front of the motorcycle like H-D pistons do. Does it matter?

I don't know either Chris. Have you tried calling the S&S tech support people?

Dome markings are sometimes arrows or simply lines pointing along the wrist pin axis - they generally go to the right (cam side).
Measure the pin hole - if it's centered (same distance from the hole to the skirt on both sides) it makes no difference (except for the skirt to skirt clearance - be careful).
If it's different (at least .060" longer on 1 side) the short side goes to the rear.
