Does anyone know about what year the throttle lever on Panheads was changed from brass to steel? Not the steel piece that screws onto the lever, but the lever itself.

If memory serves it was 1949. And I have a memory like a steel sieve. :mrgreen:

Yet another aluminum lever block came across my benches today.

They ain't rare, but we doan' kno wha year they are.

(I doan kno nuthin fer sur.)

that also depends what model bike or carb
i'm not sure about wl or g models but wr mr carbs never changed from the earlier one piece lever
i think your real close in your answer chris if not right on the money
