'68 sporty trouble

a buddy has a 68 sporty and way overfilled his primary by 2 qrts. said he drove once around the block and now has oil spurting out of the check valve breather hose at the bottom of motor. i helped him drain the oil and we replaced with the recommeded 2 .5 pts. still spurting oil out of the bottom breather hose. did he screw up the check valve? any suggestions?

he also changed the motor oil...may have too much oil in the oil bag?

Yeah!!!

Never check K or X oil tank level on cold engine!!! Same for tranny level... They all wet sump to an extent when standing unused...
