Re: Vincent dirt track bike.

I still don't believe it now I've seen it...... what's it for?

some sort of street tracker, in the style of a Norvin?

anyway, it's a serious looking piece of kit, whatever it is. Nice.
Shoot, a man could have a good weekend in Dallas with all that stuff...

Re: Vincent dirt track bike.

hey,
I have been looking for similar forkshields like in this bike. Haven't found any.

What are they (for which bike) and where to get them??

Thanks

Looks like the builder is confused on whether to buid a road racer, or dirt tracker.

Whadda ya need all those front brakes for on dirt?

My wife's VFR Honda has fork shields like those. I suspect lots of Japanese bikes use them. They fit just under the fairing and keep the dried bugs from destroying the fork seals!

Re: Vincent dirt track bike.

it looks like something Raleigh Free would have commissioned after he gave up on the Indians and he was still trying to stick it to the MoCo. Flat Out!

Re: Vincent dirt track bike.

That's who I was thinking about Chris, I hope he, or his progeny, will forgive me for getting his first name wrong. I must have been in North Carolina last night when I wrote that.

I read the book twice, quite a story!, he really had it in for the MoCo. He rode the Indians for all they were worth and when he couldn't squeeze any more out of the old flatheads he tried Vincents and did quite well.

thanks for busting me out!
