By title the 77 FLH, was model "Unknown", but after a check of the serial numbers Harley Davidson identified it as an FLHS, only produced in that year. Anybody know what differences the FLHS had compared to a FLH. And any pictures would help as well. Also, we couldn't find out how many were made. Help me out fellas, I know you'll help me get to the bottom of it. Thanks
Re: Need some help.
I was working in a dealership when the FLHS came out. It means FLH Sport and was basically a stock FLH with all the dresser parts left off. No bags, fairing, or any of the other pieces. I should have a picture somewhere. I will look and see what I find. you can reach me at tls@newmex.com.

Any Big Twin with an XL fork is an FX model.
Re: Need some help.
Thanks Chris. That shows I much I know about the newer models....70 on up...
Re: Need some help.
This one came with, bags, and rails, and turn signals on the bars, with a cross over for the dual exhaust. Any of this could have been added. It has brackets for true dual exhaust as well. I misinformed you guys, 77 was the first year they made the FLHS, and they were stripped down. This is weird, but I like it! The only thing we didn't do was take some pictures of the way it was found. I guess my buddy was so excited, he just dove in.

See links below for 1977 and 1978 FLHS pictures. Neither are equipped with bags.

Re: Need some help.
The FLHS model had no bags, guards or windshield. I sold them when they were new, so I'm familiar with them. It would not be out of line to imagine the accessories were dealer added, the bikes weren't real popular at the time.

Re: Need some help.
Any pictures yet? I saw the link to the chromed up one above, but I really need some stock photos of a 77. From my understanding less than 600, were produced that year.
