Pepper Red Paint

I recently bought a 1957 FLH. I am going to paint it the correct Pepper Red. I'm trying to get paint at the local auto body supply store but they all want a chip to scan. I don't have a chip. Does anyone have a part # they can give me besides Harleys #?

You can order it from Antique Cycle Supply. They have just about any Harley color made from '04 through '76.

Antique Cycle provided the Pepper Red paint for my wife's 57 FLH. Initially, I didn't care much for the new " Hugger Orange"
and black paint job, but it has grown on me. It looks great in the sun.

i used the dupont paint code supplied in palmer's book and gave it to the paint supply store.

after viewing original bikes i believe it is a perfect match. mine is the one in the foreground.

here is an original paint example of a pepper red '55 like mine. faded a bit of course.

That look like one of the pair of pepper red bikes that has been touring the country. They were refugee's from a junk yard, in Iran if I remember correctly. They had consecutive serial numbers.

they were both offered for sale at davenport this year. i overheard at least one of them sold.
