I've seen some nice stuff you have done and as a Machinist/toolmaker I respect and admire the work that went into it, but (you asked for HONEST opinions) I wouldn't be caught dead on it.

this is the wrong place for a question like this. Post the same thing on Jockey Journal or somewhere like that, and you will get an appreciative audience. But I can't imagine you will get it here, people here aren't here for that

since you ask, no. There ARE people who do, but I don't think you'll find many of them here. Vintage bikes and vintage racing fill all the time I have available for bikes, and i think most people here will be about the same.

I personnaly like bikes that can be ridden and controlled, not just trailored to shows...

... So can't say I've got much time for these contraptions, can't even bring meself to call them choppers since the word means cutting bits off to reverse factory over complications, not adding weight and unpracticality!!!

Some bits on some of mine, about as big as a finger nail, cost about 8 hours of machining, some are hidden inside, some are visible, but only the shop floor minded guy will notice them and I don't brag about them unless querried!!!

I like riding me bikes, not being arty-farty...

I always enjoy your posts, and since you ask, I will comment. I must warn you, the bikes are really not my style.

The craftmanship and execution look excellent. What are the body and trim pieces made of? I used to see a lot of similar work back in the 70's and 80's that were made of cardboard and bondo. Is that the case here or are we looking at metal fabrication?

The paintwork seems well done, though again, its really not my style. The bikes work as sculpture, but I can't imagine riding one. At least they seem to have funtional brakes, unlike many customs you see today.

Why were they built?

all you can see here is steel and sheetmetal formed with my own hands .
i can assure you this scoot has come and gone by the road . the owner dreamed and WANTED this .
it seems he is now the most happy owner i ever seen .

Well Milwaukee Belle, I stand impressed by your fabrication skills, all the more so as the bike works as transportation over the public roads. In the years when I was building custom bikes I built some that were to the customer's taste rather than my own. I don't know that "the customer is always right" as the old saw goes, but the customer was certainly paying the bills! The great thing about motorcycling as it stands in the 21st century is the vast variety; if you can't find a motorcycle you like, well, you just don't like bikes.
