K model vs Sportster forks

Hi guys, can anyone tell me when the switch to straight rather than stepped lower sliders took place? I have what appears to be an original early XLCH front end (embossed "XLCH" on lower clamp cover?), but it has the straight lower sliders which I had always thought to be K model. It's the one on the left in the pic below. Thanks!

Hi, Suicideshovel,
The stepped legs are 45944-68A: left, 45946-68A: right, so introduced on 68 XLH/XLCH.
They did not last long as they changed again in 70 by deleting the fender cast stays at the bottom.

Thanks Patrick - I'm still missing a couple of the bridging parts manuals.
