I don't know either,... but I have a similar bracket assembly without the linkage.

John HD is right. It is the right hand shift cross over bellcrank for Knucklehead only. Big twin SV had a thru shaft under the tanks like Servi-car. This piece mounts on top of the rear motor mount and the lever pivots off of a special rocker arm end nut.

I see that you got to see Dale's Canadian prototype TA. Too bad it has funny numbers. Looks to be unmolested number boss stamped with J C Whitney stamps.
