i'm guessing a device used to tighten the chain to hold the load secure(chain binder), always make sure the load is secure when snatch chains are in use....Mike

isn't it an uneven transmission of power in a chain drive , usually caused by incorrect alignment, lugging the engine in too high a gear, seized rollers or some combination of these?
Shoot, a man could have a good weekend in Dallas with all that stuff...

that, plus pulling away with one of those suicide clutch pedals where you have to take your foot of the peg...

If I recall we used this to pull Ford rear axles out of the rear axle housing. Hook a length of chain around the axle flange, back up with the chain and whip it . The force generated from the chain whip snatches the axle out?

An old timmer showed me that years ago and i still do it that way much easyer and less damage then a hammer.
just need 6 ft of chain thay fits over a lug stud.
