I just assumed that they fouled a plug or 2 and didn't even ask. I know they were having to manually roll the rear wheel while pushing to get it spinning at all. During practice it was only hitting on one cylinder which they remedied for the heat but it was geared way too tight and no additional gearing was available. It probably best that it didn't go back out. It could not have been competitive with the gearing and the speeds.
I'll get more detail from Larry next time I see him, perhaps this weekend.

best photos i've seen on any race site - pics from Lee S. Potter. Classic one...of a natural beauty. she's watching someone run...intently, too. nice assemblage of m/c photographs. Good eye-shutter response for candid moments. Seem like nice enough people too.
