Will a 24 tooth tranny sprocket fit on a 77 kick only bike, Stock 51 tooth rear wheel. Will a 110 link chain be long enough? Is a 21 or a 22 Stock?
I can answer one of your questions. Check out the chain length calculator here:

Iron Pimp thanks for your reply, it seems the 77 and up? has a support tube for the kicker shaft. The kicker cover also has a mounting hole that goes to this tube, can this tube be removed or notched to clear the sprocket? The tube is mounted to the rear engine mount by way of the two case bolts. The kicker Shaft looks like it will just clear, the cover mount and shaft support will definetly hit!

Pa it is definetly not the chain oiler, I have had my fair share of Sporty's apart and have never seen this part before. I will be working on my son's bike tomorrow or Saturday and I will snap photo's and show you what I meen. No pictures of it in Clymer or Harley Parts Manual, The sprocket cover bolts on to it above the kicker shaft and it supports the kicker shaft which runs thru it. The parts book shows the extra cover mounting hole above the kicker for77 and up.
Photo's tomorrow thanks Neil
