Oldest HD 'carry over' parts from 1936 to today ?

What are the oldest carry over HD parts that are still being used on the twin cams, from 1936

valve stem caps?

other than that, i would imagine some nuts and or bolts may carry pre 36 part numbers.

I'm told that the clutch hub woodruf key is the oldest number still available from HD. PN 37523-15

OOOPS! not used on a Twinkie. Timing hole plug, maybe??

John- not sure about the valve caps ? that's possible..

Curt- twin cams have NO timing hole plug.

answer: The Push rod tube springs, & caps are the oldest carry over parts still used today. HD part # 17947-36 & 17945-36B

The oldest carry over part that is possibly still used on H-D's is the Schrader valve stem. (if the Davidson Money Company still even uses American tires and tubes,which they probably don't) The valve stem caps were nickel plated brass from 1903 to 1959 (except the 5.00x 16" inner tubes which I think came out in
'40.

How about the Side Stand Return Spring?
