What is the H-D OEM part number for the identical 1941 Indian Linkert part #102965?

Maybe I could help. If I had an Indian parts book to figure out what part you are talking about.

It's just the phenolic nozzle gasket: The one that is left out of all the ordinary HD parts books.

It seems like XA's probably used them too, but I've never had any of their carbs come across my benches.

It was apparently also used on the common M74B, but left out of the books.

Bruce mentions it in a photocaption in his "How to...", but I cannot find an HD OEM number.

I just talked to Bruce. He sez that gasket was only used on the XA and no other Harley models. It is a part number 27300-42.

(Strange: 27300-50 is a HS needle. )

Bruce's photocaption on page 247 of my copy cites the seal as fitting all nozzles with the lower shoulder.

I have found very, very few in situ.
Finding two last week in exceptionally good condition has inspired me to not only copy them in PEEK, but also to shave ultra-thin ones for a bandaid when the spigot and venturi hole are worn, on any and all models.

If we are talking about the same part, quite a few carbs used them.

M-17R m17L n(XA carbs) MR3 MR4 MR4A M53 and M53A1 all use them

There were actually 2 types. The first was fiber (I have quite a few NOS ones) The second was neoprene (rubber) 52 and later.
