Revtech 100" engine

Not that I think any of you old wrenches now anything about the obove mentioned engine, but there might be someone that know of these engines...
Was offered one a week ago. No big money involved. It is a Revtech 100" Gen II engine. Not Gen III as they are selling now I'v been told.
The owner was going for a bigger engine. He had only run it for 3500 km during the last 2 yrs.
Anyone of you heard anything of these engines???

I strongly belive they are made in Asia. Taiwan I think... But what is not these days?

Yes,the REVTECH engines,I think GEN II,use side by side automotive style rods. They are also manufactured somewhere in SE asia. A friend of mine bought one of their kit bikes in 2000. What a POS! STROKER

Found out it is a gen I engine, gen II is what they are selling now.

If i am correct, these Motors and most of the "Rev Tech" Products are made by KIA Motors in South Korea. Older models used an odd Stroke ,like 4 3/8 " and 3 13/16 Bore Pistons. Flywheels are obsolete to rebuilt them, but a good motorbuilder can put 4 1/2 " Stoker Flywheels and matching pistons in there. Those Engines are not bad for the money you pay for them, but you need to know what you do . I got a newer 110" in a Bike here and it pulls like a freight train. Top speed in excess of 200 km/h are no problem......

Watch out for loose shifting RH pinion races in the RH crankcase. I know of two engines that comitted suicide due to the RH cases race coming loose. Cheap engine = POS!!!
