Iron Head Sportster Valve Rocker Arm Pushrods

Have they always been manufatured by HD with steel pushrods.

Hey Guys, I'm close to completing my magnum engine but have run into a problem with the "pushrods" I have. I need to know the end to end length measurement of the 1957 ironhead pushrods. Since I've only ever eye-balled complete ironhead motors and never actually disassembled one I have no idea if pushrods were different or the same length through the production years of the motor.

Also, are both pushrod end radius (s) (What the #### is the plural... radii?) the same or different. The set I possess, have a different radius at either end and are also adjustable at one end.
The smaller radius end fits nicely into the rocker cup, but "obviously the adjuster is at the wrong end.

I believe these are the wrong pushrods...but can be modified if push comes to shove.

Any solutions here guys?

I know sporty pushrods were aluminum in the seventies and eighties, don't recall having a steel one in my hand. They have a 5/16 ball on both ends and stock length is around 9 1/4 inches.

Vince,from what you're describing sounds like a set of adjustable pushrods for a panhead. BREWSKI
