My Son picked up a replacement speedo for his 77 XLCH but the bezel and housing are not in very good shape. He has non working speedos which he can disassemble for parts but we can't figure out how to get them apart without damaging them ? All help is appreciated. Thanks, Pa
Bills Custom Cycles[Berwick,PA] used to sell just the clear plastic part but you had to cut it off the black plastic part with a razor knife then glue it on.I think I saw them in a J&P catalog once also.I never did it but a freind did. First he made a groove for the razor knife with a glass cutter.I forget what type glue he used. The lenses he had you couldnt even see through so it was an improvement.I remember when the 73s came out with the new plastic tach/speedo and how bad it looked compared to the nice chrome housing on my 72.An AMF "improvment" I wasnt real happy about.
