anybody recognizes this weird thing on the side (the small picture) i found it while assembling my totally overhauled flathead.

BTW i found a L&L m41 keep and rebuild or sell????

...the small picture under your signature...?
To me it might look like a hydraulic tappet from a shovelhead engine..
But the picture is small.
If it look like a pushrod may fit on the right (top) side, it is a hydraulic lifter. If so, dont use it on your flathead :?

You have the upper portion of a hydraulic tappet, 53 and later pan, and shovel.

could be looks indeed as a small hydraulic item, that's all i need to know, couldn't find it anywhere in my books but was kinda scared to end up with "spare" parts after a rebuild
