k model cams

i ran KH cams in my WR for quite sometime... you have to press the center out of the 45 cam to drive the oil pump and press it into the K cam. i would recommend the KH cams for a semi-hot street bike.. the K cams are pretty mild.

All K, KH, KHK, KR cams have a slight degree of angle across the lobes because the valves are tilted toward the bore, WR's can run any K series cam since there valves have the same angle, however WL, G models do not and cannot run a K series cam.

i assumed whoever wanted to use the K cams knew the exhaust lobes are angled. i have seen people use the K cams and grind and polish the lobes straight(crude) and also have seen people grind the rollers on the tappets angled.(also crude) but it's do-able.my experience with the "drop in" cams like the wldr cams is that they are hardly worth the money in terms of performance for dollar spent. remember... this is MY opinion and opinions are like butts.. everyone has one LOL i've heard of people using sportster XL cams in flatheads too.

I should think xl cams in a WL would surely be less lift than stock wl cams. (only exception being a "magnum topend")
