Sorry, ex-owner only - 1942 Sport Scout Bonneville (FDB), was ex-flat-track bike when I got it (white #45 plate), with mag, Motoplane tanks, 741 rear section, etc. Now belongs to Al Perry, pic is on my Customer's Bikes Page.

Uh,..I'm only 'halfsies'on a '34 Chief, and I'll never finish the basket as long as I must pay the bills by cutting metal on other people's projects. (Actually I'm down to simple stuff like updating the sump pick up {?})...Cotten

I have most of a 1934 Indian 4 and some extra pieces. I need headlite, toolbox, battery box and a generator/distributor to be complete.

The 741 with blower is an on going project still in the mule phase. The supercharger sets where the generator used to and is chain driven through a jackshaft to get the blower over drive that I needed. I'm using the original M741 Linkert modifyed for blow through operation. The original design used pressure from the manifold to pressureise the fuel tanks, but it would run out of fuel on acceleration so I am in the process of adding a electric pump and regulator. Hope I can retain the Linkert but may have to use something else.Maybe even inject it.

Wilfit:
If your 41 engine has the correct square base cylinders and heads it won't go in a frame earlier than 1940 without grinding a substantal amount of fin off the heads and cylinders. Also the transmission will have the wrong length output shaft. The moto plane frame was Indians first attempt at a light frame for the 45 and wasn't strong enough. But both of these are good trading material. If you decide to grind the fins find a 640 Scout 640b millitary Scout or 741 military rear section. We should have a blue print of a 640 Scout rear section on the blue print project of the Virtual Indian next month or the month after. There's a 640 fork print this month.
For a manual I would suggest one of the reprints of the 640b millitary manual.
Are you going to leave it stock or stroke it?

Dusty, I found that I have 39 cylinders & they ground the 41 heads to match. Found a few more pieces in my swap meet pile today. If this keeps up I may end up with enough parts to get started. Got a NOS 39 SS tail light today, only I haven't paid for it yet. what would be a fair price?
Later, Wifit

Hi
I've just posted a new topic. To answer your question: I am a happy owner and rider of a '46 Chief. I am working abroad (UK) right now but can't wait to be back on my bike again.
Ride them...
