Aftermarket shift gate

Just got done converting my 46 knuck from a straight 3 speed to a 4 speed tranny. I used a cool cast bronze shift gate that has high gear forward so it shifts like my later ( 47 and up )bikes. Just flip the arm in the lid and used four speed drum and gears. Anybody know who manufactured these gates? They are very heavy castings and bolt right on the catseye tanks. I'm sure they came out right after 47 so you could convert your old bike to the new shift pattern.

I do not know who made them but they are not uncommon to find. Gonna use one on my 90" knuckle. Jerry

Conan, is that your 1945 knuckle on your web site you're talking about? If so looks nice, shotguns would be cool, post new pictures for us when you get sheetmetal back.
