K Pistons

I have 2 sets of pistons that came in my k basket, the distance between the top of the hole for the pin to the top of the piston on both sets is within .oo5" but the distance from the top ring to the top of the piston is .100" closer to the top on one set than the other. Is one set for a 45 and one for a K or does it make any difference, maybe just different maufacturers, neither have HD numbers inside. Anyone know what I have?

Dotman, only if your from Kansas. Do you have an answer to my piston puzzle? I guess I'll have to take them up to Benwa.

Actually I measured a NOS 45 piston and the top slot measures .265 from the top of the piston to the top of the first ring .428 to the top of the #2 ring and .588 to the top of the oil control ring. But this is my only new set of pistons and dont have acces to any K's

Steve- Ive measured some of the pistons I have and come up with different measurments.
It probly wont make any difference which you use. The ones with the taller deck could possable be KR pistons, they stuck up out of
the cylender???
