Aftermarket alt/gen info needed.

i don;t know if this is what it might be... but some of the brit bike guys i talked to some years ago were playing with alternators from yanmar tractors.. the outer case spun on those units..

From what I've experienced w/them, they have greatly improved the shafts. I have 2 locals running them, couple years now.
