65A Generators

Is it possible to use a 65A generator with the threaded end on side valve models?

Can the threaded end be shortened in order to fit in the cam case oil separator recess?

It doesn't fit??

You may need to shim it to specs (as per the Palmer book), but I regularly slip a slinger onto 65a armatures for something to turn them upon my growler.
