Randy Smith
I just read in Iron Works Jan/Feb 2003 issue that Randy Smith passed on Oct 7,02. Randy was the father of the 45 Magnum and a designer/builder of rare talent. He started Custom Cycle Engineering and was a big help to this young shop owner in the early '70s. Randy willingly shared what he knew about hotrod 45s and racers. He was never too busy to answer questions from another interested builder. I learned alot from Randy. Recently I saw an ad of his in the AMC magazine for his Bird Deflector carb cover. It was good to know that he was still out there making quality stuff for the tradition minded. Check out Randy and his stuff at www.randysmith.info. Randy, Rest Easy & God Bless. 'dog
