45 Heads

Looked at a 39 WL yesterday,case stamped 39WL002595, has aluminum heads but I could not find any # on them. Any thoughts?

Should always have 119-39/119-391 etc. cast in underneath, also ratio stamp on right side - 5 or 6.
BTW: I hope you got that VIN wrong, 2 mistakes:
1. too many digits for 1939 (should be 4, 5 maximum after the last letter, as in 39WLXXXX).
2. first number every year is 1001 (39WL1001). Nothing begins with "0".

Panic
I knew my hand writing was bad,but I didn't think it was THAT bad. I will have to go back and verify that VIN.
I searched those heads with a flashlight saw nothing,they were fairly oxidized,what do think?

I looked at some I had here, and on HALF of them, the number was almost completely invisible, even though I knew it was there. Probably just a casting flaw - some are much deeper than others, and the compression stamp isn't always there either.
